With over 25 years of experience in excavating and building award-winning custom homes from Connecticut to Maine, Joe Filanowski Jr leads our team with unparalleled expertise. Our journey began after graduating from Platt Technical School with high honors in carpentry, architectural drafting, and blueprint reading. Through hands-on experience, we realized the importance of quality excavation and the value of earthwork in constructing exceptional homes, pools and outbuildings.

Our sister company, J&J, purchased our excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, Lull, and ground mats, ensuring our projects stay on schedule and providing the best service possible for our clients. By not relying on subcontractors for excavation, we have consistently proven the superior value of our approach.

Our work has been featured in prestigious publications such as Architectural Digest, Fine Home Building magazine, At Home magazine, The New York Times, Darien Times, New England Home magazine, Milford Living, Hartford Courant, and Business Work Online. We were honored as Custom Home Builder of the Year for New Construction and Best Remodeled Home Builder of the Year by the Connecticut Home Builders Association.
